Ankit learned to code on his father's phone. Now he helps build the platform that teaches 3 lakh students.
Ankit grew up in a village in Dewas district, Madhya Pradesh. Like millions of students across India, he had learned about computers only on a blackboard. Until Class 12, he had never used one.
In his final year of school, CodeYogi brought its free coding and AI programme to his district. It needed no computer lab, only a smartphone at home.
Ankit learned on his father's phone, alongside students from across the country. He got hooked. He got so good that he built a code editor that worked better than CodeYogi's own.
CodeYogi hired him right after school. Today he is a software engineer intern there, studying for a BS at IIT Madras and helping build the platform that now serves over 3 lakh students.
Talent was never what was missing. Access was.
